Overview

What is Disaster Recovery?

Disaster Recovery at MindCraft Solution makes sure an outage, data loss or ransomware event is a manageable incident, not an existential threat. We design, build and — crucially — test recovery so you can restore systems and data within the time and data-loss limits your business can tolerate.

We start from the business: for each system we agree a Recovery Time Objective (how fast you must be back) and a Recovery Point Objective (how much data you can afford to lose). Then we engineer the right strategy — backup and restore, pilot light, warm standby or active-active — to meet them at a sensible cost.

The difference is testing. A DR plan that's never been rehearsed is a guess; we run regular failover drills so recovery is proven, documented and repeatable — and your team knows exactly what to do.

The right approach — backup, pilot light, warm standby or active-active — per workload.

Automated, immutable backups

Reliable, encrypted, ransomware-resistant backups with retention policies.

Failover & runbooks

Automated failover where possible, and clear, tested manual runbooks.

DR testing & drills

Regular rehearsed failovers that prove recovery works.

How we work

Our delivery model

A clear, low-risk path from first call to a running, optimized solution.

  1. 1

    Assess

We map critical systems and agree RTO/RPO targets based on business impact.

  2. 2

    Design

We choose and architect the recovery strategy that meets those targets affordably.

  3. 3

    Implement

We set up backups, replication and failover automation with security built in.

  4. 4

    Test & maintain

We run drills, fix gaps, and keep the plan current as your systems evolve.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Backups are necessary but not sufficient. Disaster recovery also covers how fast you can restore service (RTO), how much data you might lose (RPO), failover, and — most importantly — proof that recovery actually works through testing.

At least quarterly for critical systems, and after major changes. Untested DR is a liability; we make testing routine and low-risk.

We use immutable, encrypted backups with separate access controls so they can't be encrypted or deleted by an attacker, plus tested clean-restore procedures.

By matching the strategy to each system's real RTO/RPO — active-active for the few systems that need it, cheaper backup-and-restore for the rest — so you don't over-pay for resilience you don't need.
